Today, CSF celebrates 5 years of advancing research and advocacy that shapes a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future for Sri Lanka. We are committed to influencing public policies that are more people-centric and nature-centric.
Over the last five years, CSF’s work has evolved alongside a period of profound transition and uncertainty in Sri Lanka. Shaped by economic crisis, climate pressures, changing development priorities, technological shifts, and growing debates around equity, governance, and sustainability.
Across these years, we have sought to contribute to public policy conversations through interdisciplinary and grounded research that connects economic, social, environmental, and spatial questions, rather than treating them in isolation
Here is an overview that brings together a selection of CSF’s publications, policy briefs, analytical notes, events, collaborations, and public engagements from June 2021 to May 2026. Beyond documenting outputs, it reflects an ongoing process of learning, questioning, and engaging with complex policy challenges in ways that are people-centric, nature-conscious, and attentive to lived realities.
As Sri Lanka continues to navigate uncertainty and transition, we hope this body of work contributes to more informed, critical, and collaborative conversations on shaping a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future.
Thank you to our partners, collaborators, communities, former colleagues, interns, visiting fellows, and everyone who has been part of our team — your engagement and solidarity have shaped our journey!
